I like avatars because they make it easier to tell posters apart. They give a "face" to the poster. Without them, I'm not sure I could tell anyone apart.

Exactly....which is why it can be frustrating when people change their avaters and when some of us have the same ones....I still havent figured out how to us this sites photo upload to make my own avater....to busy posting...(and tech handicapped)One of these days....

Why? I think it's good - helps me identify people more easily. My memory is terrible, and I remember pictures better than names.

and on topic, i always use this avatar, and if i change the new one will always have the same theme of red and white message sometimes with black writing/patterns. but this avatar i use for most things
