They never do business, because they can not lie. No such thing as liars between austic people.

They never fail school.

They have absolutly no idea what cynism is, irony, or sarcasm, or anything like that. They are autistic. And they do have dictionary, but never read these definitions.

Autistic people have no sense of humor or laugh. It must be something only an NT could do.

If these are just stereotypes, then I agree. If these were all completely true for every Autistic, then I wouldn't need my diagnosis any more. :)

I act a lot.

I can lie when necessary, and get away with it.

I did pass, but I didn't get any high grades. Most of my NT peers got higher grades than me in every subject.

I can ''get'' sarcasm, jokes, and all that kind of thing.

I have a big sense of humour, and I laugh and smile a lot, despite how depressed and socially phobic I am.

:)

I thought you were all being serious until the commentors started talking about being sarcastic. I believed everything in the first few posts. Like how there are no autistic actors.

(if this is a sarcastic thread here is my answer)

They don't understand others have feelings
They do not have normal goals
They are not interested in abstract subjects or fiction

It's been clarified several times the thread is a joke. It's sarcasm. Dry humour at it's finest.
Although I feel it's diluted everytime we have to clarify it's a joke. =.=

They never seem to understand that what they believe autistic people never do is not excluded from autistic behavior.

Autistic people are always good with technology, especially with computers.
Autistic people are always good at math and science.
Autistic people always speak in monotone voices, never make eye contact, and have blank expressions on their faces.
Autistic people are always introverted, shy and quiet.
Autistic people have no imagination.
Autistic people have no empathy.
Autistic people never make ironic/sarcastic threads on Internet forums.

Not true.

Untrue, untrue, untrue.

Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are both suspected aspies. Richard Branson is also neurodivergent (dyslexia). Furthermore being a good businessperson doesn't necessitate you are a liar. Aspie politicians on the other hand, not sure there are any....

I am on the spectrum and did very modestly at school. Granted, I had specific learning needs that were uncatered for due to not having the benefit of a diagnosis.

Speak for yourself. I have a fairly good grasp of irony, cynicism and sarcasm. Its possible to cultivate an understanding of this through studying language early on.

Don't know where you get this from. I think if anything, Spectrumites laugh at different things to NT's. Just because theres often little consensus on what is humour doesn't follow we have no humour.

I completely thought you were serious until you pointed out you were being sarcastic. Well, don't I feel silly.

Autistic people always solve the Rubix cube in under a minute.
Autistic people are bad with grammar, and good at math.
Autistic people don't know what empathy is.
