I've heard about all this 'emotion through the eyes' thing and, although I've read that it's valid, I don't see how it can be true. The only things an eye can do is move in it's socket, cry and contract and open the pupil (which is not under conscious control). Sure there are muscles around the eye and eye brow which move but that's part of the face anyway. I think mouths are better for guessing emotion. If they're smiling - happy, if they're a thin line - angry or holding their breath and if they're open - talking or laughing or shouting or crying. Oh and if the bottom lip trembles - someone is about to cry. Apart from crying I can't tell things from eyes. Even with crying - they could be crying with happiness or sadness or because they're laughing so much.
