Are you serious?! I was thin as a stick up until my late 20's, but was always last to finish running a mile in school, and my time never improved. If I had been forced to do what you say I probably would have dropped dead from exhaustion.

You would have gotten stronger and stronger. That's the beauty of fitness. Just keep pushing a little... right up through one's fifties you can make huge changes in your fitness.

Maybe the rooms could have curtains and/or dim lighting for those with light sensitivity too.

How about this StarTrekker?

Agree on the fact of superior. Lets push back against the neurotypicals who are so occupied with control. For all the **** I received in 22 years, for having a so called disorder. Just skinny with bad attitude towards the controlling neurotypical population, no offense to neurotypicals who are for freedom.

relating to toilets, I have heard in some place they have music in bathrooms to stop people from hearing when you go to the loo, I hate people hearing so I think it should be used in the UK

why hate people hearing it? :?
they do it to,everyone does it,its just a sound that humans had decided to make a social rule against, its also a pretty funny sound for those of us with a toilet [no pun] humour. :P

music being played in toilets coud make toilets inaccessible to autists with severe sensory issues, hyperacusis, misophonia etc and it coud also prevent someone ill or frail from being able to call for help if they had any trouble whilst on the toilet or disguise someone being harmed plus it coud encourage people to hang around in them.

toilet humor - haha! I think that was a pun!

You guys the title the thread was really kind of a joke based on all the threads around on the subject. And anti the subject, etc. Autistic people being superior to nonAutistic to me is really a non issue, I just don't compare myself to anyone in that respect.

BUT I do believe that Autistic people as a group are have way more talents and abilities then we have so far been able to show the world and that's what this thread is about. We don't need to be in the shadows any more. We should be thinking of ways to say to the world, We are HEre, We have Talents and Skills, Yay us!!

It's not the ideas that matter, but doing something with the ideas, like developing them into paradigms that advance a field, applying them to make something that is useful or beneficial or just something that like or maybe only cats like it, but the main thing is doing something with ideas.

It is true that you need an idea to start with, but ideas are things that pop up in one second and cost nothing, while doing something with ideas takes prolonged effort and cost of time, money, intellectual energy, emotional instability (oh wait, that is just me projecting), so the message should be autistic people, if you have a good idea and you want to see it come true, then do something with it, starting right now.

I was as well but I remember things like that as if were yesterday. We must be somewhat close in age then....

You know what? I think there should be a government of Autistic people (I mean just for us) - to help us achieve things and get on the right paths and make something of ourselves and advocate for our rights. I might possibly nominate you for the President, but I'm not sure. Maybe head of scientific achievement office.
