When I read the list of mind control techniques, I realized that almost all of them had been used or attempted on me. It was by a group in the pyramid scheme called Quixtar. http://www.quixtar.com/
Now they've started advertising on TV. If any of you know someone whose in to this or is thinking about it, tell them to stay the hell away from these people.

The US operating name for AmWay... *shudder*

You've seen this two? Please tell us about it. It might not be a real job, but I think it's a great example of what the OP is talking about.

Cheap easy explanation; an organization based on self-promotion and keeping those under you involved to sustain profits - therefore psychological control techniques are a valuable tool to influence others to fulfill your needs.

Honestly, I want to be a politican of some sort so I can change this. But listening to the people at a Peace Group I go to, the people here at WP, the Central Tor network, Digg, TOTSE, etc make me wonder if I can do anything. Well I (well radicals) can say I did something/tried the non violent before busting caps in peoples asses...

If no one will work for these guys, they will be forced to change their ways. Seriously, I've been in business a long time, my career is inherently as an advisor to businesses, and the mindset you all are talking about does NOT exist everywhere. Business changes when it has to in order to get the people it needs. Think about how women are treated in the workplace in the US; that has changed dramatically during the 25 years I've been in the workforce, DRAMATICALLY, because we all basically said, "change or we won't work for you." The same applies with every other aspect of business. They cannot function without employees. If the best ones insist on change, change will happen. And it already has - there are MANY good employers who operate on mutual respect, and NOT control.

You can be a very effective advocate for change simply by increasing knowledge.

There are always those who search for a quick buck; schemes will continue to exist. Better to learn to recognize and avoid them.
