At the moment, Logical Song by Supertramp is stuck in my head for now, also listening to the Timesplitters 2 soundtrack frequently over the past couple of weeks too.

A song that makes me wish I was a different person and 14 again in 1983.

For me it's Nirvana, when I was a teen I was pretty much the female incarnate of Kurt Cobain lol. I even had his haircut & the same sunglasses as he wore here: http://www.wholesalesunglassesblog.com/ ... cobain.jpg

I hated cameras back then, but somewhere there is a pic of me, red & black striped jumper, my guitar and these white sunglasses lol, I thought it was so hip, it's a bit sad now looking back.

My favorite song by Nirvana is:

I have listened to all different kinds of music/songs over and over all my life. Lately, I have been playing Eminem's CD "Recovery" especially the song with Pink," Won't Back Down", I love that song. The whole CD is kicks @ss. :)

Really? Everyone I know IRL seems to think listening to music over and over is annoying.

Same here. When I had roommates it would drive them crazy, even if I was using headphones, they'd look at my computer screen and see it was the same song on repeat and be like, you need to stop that!

Maybe. I certainly done it. I think my theme song is "When He Shines" by Sheena Easton (#30, 1982). Do you think it's common AS trait to think of one song over and over again in your mind for a extended period of time? I've done that too. My favroite music is heavy metal and my favroite bands are Metallica and Slayer so there have been songs by both of them that I have played over and over again. I exspecally have played "Altar Of Sacrafice" by Slayer a lot for a while sometimes. There have also been songs that I have thought in my mind a lot and when I do it it usually is for a better part of a day. Exspecally lost 45's. They include:

Charlie Dore "Pilot Of The Airwaves" (#13, 1980)
Helen Reddy "Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)" (#3, 1973)
Potliquor "Cheer" (#65, 1972)

Other songs that I can relate to like "Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)" and:

Helen Reddy "You And Me Against The World" (#9, 1974)
Good Charlotte "Little Things"
Good Charlotte "I Just Want To Live" (#51, 2005)
Papa Roach "Last Resort" (#57, 2000)
Linkin Park "In The End" (#2, 2001)
Andrew Gold "Lonely Boy" (#7, 1977)
Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb"
Judas Priest "Beyond The Realms Of Death"
Godsmack "Hallow"
Alice In Chains "I Stay Away"

Gee, I can name plenty more but if I type them I will be at the computer all night so will stop here.

"Learning To Fly"

Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction is holding me fast,
How can I escape this irresistible grasp?

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I

Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought, I thought of everything
No navigator to find my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone
A soul in tension -- that's learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try

Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night

There's no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss

Can't keep my mind from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I

Lights Out - Breaking Benjamin

I am done pretending
You have failed to find what's left
I will suck you dry again
Some are not worth saving
You are such a pretty mess
I will choke the life within

Now you want to take me down
As if I even care
I am the monster in your head
And I thought you'd learn by now
It seems you haven't yet
I am the venom in your skin
And now your life
Is broken

After the lights go out on you
After your worthless life is through
I will remember how you scream
I can't afford to care
I can't afford to care

I am suffocating
You have failed to pull me in
I will drag you down again
Life is unrelenting
Feeding lies into my head
I will feed the lies you live

Now you want to take me down
As if I even care
I am the monster in your head
And I thought you'd learn by now
It seems you haven't yet
I am the venom in your skin
And now your life
Is broken

After the lights go out on you
After your worthless life is through
I will remember how you scream
I can't afford to care
I can't afford to care

Currently been listening to No Surprises over and over again by Radiohead
In the past, I have been obsessed with all of these songs.
Search and Destroy- Iggy Pop
While My Guitar Gently Weeps- The Beatles
Another Brick in the Wall Part 3- Pink Floyd (and most of The Wall for that matter)
Ballad of a Thin Man- Bob Dylan (Consider this one to be my theme song)
Disposable Hero's- Metallica
