A sea turtle and a human,only one can live,so who do you choose?If the human was someone I cared about or a truly good person this would be a hard choice.But if it was a stranger or a truly evil person(examples-BP's Tony Hayward or Casey Anthony) the sea turtle wins every time,I wouldn't even have to think about it.Way more people f-----g the planet up than sea turtles.

I don't know if I would have survived to this ripe old age without my cats. I think animals and Autism are inseparable. We are stipped down and honest to the point of blunt. Needing only the basiscs in life nothing fancy. And we are all or nothing. Senses first. I can usually tell whether I should trust a person or not depending on how my cat behaves.

This is a very interesting thread. I am always struck by how profound the connection is between my boyfriend and his dogs. I have to admit, I have never had such a deep relationship with a dog before, although I've loved many very dearly from the time that I was a child.

I personally don't think it's fair to say animals are better than people a priori. Dogs are the way they are because of biological characteristics of their species. If a human tried to be like a dog then the person wouldn't be taken seriously by the general population, despite how they lament about how much better dogs are for being that way. So I hold people up to a completely different standard.
