What about the reverse, do you like for other people to be interested in you? I don't, it makes me uncomfortable. I especially hate it when a person keeps asking me lots of nosy question about myself, and I don't know how to avoid answering.

I hate that too....it alwas makes me wonder if they are fishing for gossip material.

If I ask people questions I always say I don't mind if they don't want to answer (they are under no obligation to tell me information they are not comfortable telling me) and if they would like to talk about something else please feel free to change the subject to something they want to. I don't want people to feel uncomfortable. I don't have many taboos when it comes to subjects of conversation (there are limits as to what I will do but virtually no limits as to subjects I am willing to talk about or discuss...although I can't guarantee I will find the subject they choose interesting), however, other people do...Ergo I find it best to double check someones comfort level before proceeding.

It seems I still manage to offend by being too shy and quiet when I don't know someone very well, so I can't really win when it comes to chit chat lol.

Perhaps I am showing my age but WTH is a natterbox? I thought I was pretty up on most things but that is a new one on me. Is it like twitter?
