I heard Edgar Allan Poe at the very least had some major depression problems (if not Bipolar). I don't know enough about him aside from his work to gather an educated guess though. But yet again, wouldn't be surprised.

Edgar Allan Poe did drugs, opium if I remember correctly. And so, he might just have a messed up brain.

I think you mean "had?" a messed up brain :)

Poe is related to my wife on her mom's side and it has been suggested that he had Porphyria. I am not surprised as several of the people in Mary's immediate family and two closest generations before have had similar stuff. One of her sisters, Caroline (author of "The Happy Hacker") went into a coma for over a year as a teen. Delerium Tremens is another suggested condtion for Poe.

I would add David Byrne from 80's band Talking Heads, and possibly Brian Wilson (ex Beach Boys)

Speaking of musicians, I've heard rumors that Neil Young has asperger's, which, to me, expalins a lot of his career moves. I've also heard that Bob Dylan might have A.S., but I personally doubt that. I think he just values his privacy.

I've seen the list on Wikipedia. While some of it may be true, or at least probable, it's written by people who are ultimately just guessing. That's kind of the whole problem with Wikipedia. There really isn't a governing body that regulates what you read on it, aside from people who disagree with what someone else posted.

On the otherhand, that's where I read about Neil Young having A.S., so I guess I'll just be quiet now.

I agree. I am currently arguing with some guy on wikipedia about whether Lamb of God are death metal or not.

Wikipedia is a perfect example of what is wrong with the Internet. It has no reliability or integrity. It is the Internut, rather than the Internet.

I am having some argument with some idiot on there as to whether Lamb of God are death metal or not. This twit says they are metalcore even though they clearly have death grunts, thrash metal like guitars and hardly any sign of hardcore punk. Also they even admit that they are DEATH METAL! How can you deny someone the title of death metal if they are proclaimed by such by the masses and themselves.

Jamie Hyneman from Mythbusters. I don't think it is a good idea to go around proclaiming people AS on scanty evidence of them being a misfit or nerd, but after having watched the recent "behind the scenes" episodes of Mythbusters, it is very obvious that he is on the spectrum.

I love Mythbusters they are so awsome. Yeah Jaimie seems like the quiet one and Adam is always goofing around.

They did some focus segments on the foibles of the crew like how Adam is always hurting himself, etc. Jamie's segments focussed on how the crew makes fun of how he speaks (the flat monotone and "uh"ing a lot), how Jamie gets upset because the crew messes up his shop and won't clean up (they consider him overly fussy and picky), how Jamie always wears the beret and impeccably pressed white shirt, how Jamie goes on and on about stuff in spite of others' "signals" that they're bored or not interested, etc. Classic spectrum stuff.

I could go with Denis Miller just because of his attitude and his vocabualry.

Some researchers (as I heard off a news segment) were wondering whether Emily Dickinson had Aspergers. I do not know as I only know that she was quite a hermit, but no more than that. I have never read any biographical information on her.

And also Isaac Newton is suspected of having had AS as well (can't recall if anyone mentioned him already).
