If anything Autistic people are emotional. Wear Emotions on sleeve. Can't control emotions.

The normal neurotypical zombie represses their emotions.

At this point in time I'm liking lilly who is warm and fuzzier than morticia.

I really just feel like people on the spectrum are just like the last of the unicorns of humanity that has a heart and sense of right and wrong while the remainder of humanity is steadily merging with the machine

Humanity: hey guys lets gang up on the weakling because she's a weakling and if she has a problem with it, it's because she's a weakling

Oh and autistic people lack empathy...

Wherever the concept of thinking we lack empathy came from is becoming more and more absurd everytime I see it or think about it.. I'm probably the most emotional living thing I can think of.. maybe it's my inability to express what I feel in a way that's appropriate that this concept stems from?

I feel it's just another layer of bullying.
How can you expect a person who's treated as prey by the vast majority of the human population to empathize with their predators?

Different is bad it seems. Even just now on my short trip around the block even though it was much much quieter than every other day in the past couple years apart from going out at 4am I try not to show I'm on edge just waiting for another bout of verbal sledging but I'm exhausted again. :(

Abuse. I am being abused.

What kind of abuse, and by what general category of person or people in your life? Are you being abused by someone you live with (family or otherwise), or by a boss, or by some other authority figure, or by neighbors? Are you in physical danger?

Also, what is your living situation like? For example, are you living alone, or with your parents, or in an apartment with a roommate, or in an institutional setting of some kind?

The more specifics you can tell us about your situation, the more likely someone here will be able to give you some useful advice.

There is nothing that helps with abuse because universities don't teach human rights. Universities teach abuse. Universities produce abusive abusers who abuse.

Why are you bringing up universities?

Are you being abused at a university, or by someone associated with a university?

Or do you just believe that universities are somehow responsible for a lack of appropriate services?

And there is no such thing as help for Autistics who are emotionally, psychologically, and mentally abused and tortured by a society that cannot and will not understand us. I have been fighting so hard to try to get my area to create programs that meet our needs but the agencies just refuse. It's very difficult.

To avoid derailing this thread, please see my reply in a separate new thread here.

This is already derailed. No good programs for Autistic adults.

Humanity took a turn for collective abuse against itself and this planet a few millennia ago, and when good hearted people come along with other ideas they are often devoured by the rabid mass of humanity. I generally agree with the perspective contained within this thread.
