Do people really like wool on their skin?

I don't care if people write about their experiances, I just want my questions answered. That's what I come here for. So maybe bolding my questions might get them to notice it so they won't ignore me by not answering. In real life I have to actually keep asking the same question over and over till they answer me because they aren't answering. On IM I have to ask in caps if they keeps going unanswered. It's like they don't hear me and even see the question.

Im really sorry, i didnt mean to offend you or something. There was no harm meant in what i said. I sometimes get distracted by small details, to the point where i dont notice anything else. Ive often answered peoples inquieries with something entirely different than what they were looking for.

Its not your fault im like this, and i do feel a need to apologize since you seem to experience this often. I had no intention of ignoring you at all, and if thats how it seemed to you i apologize. I did read all of your post. Id never answer any post unless i read it all first.

Wool is an itchy mess; I concur.

My apologies; the reason I shared my experiences is probably similar to the reason others did the same - I thought you were investigating whether or not this was "typical," either in the Asperger's or the general community. I thought that one more answer would give you a closer idea of whether or not this was a typical experience in the AS community. In effect, I thought that my response was essentially part of the answer you were seeking.

You rolled your eyes at me so I thought you thought I was being rude or something.

Oh no, that was meant at myself for being so weird with things. Like that i answer a post with the detail i noticed instead of what the person might be seeking an answer to. Blah, im not even good with these emoticons, i even manage to use those wrongly. Im so sorry.

I absolutely can't stand wool, I always have to wear a layer between the wool and my skin.

I love wool. So soft and warm... My dad, likely Aspie, hates it with a passion though. He doesn't even like being in the same room with wool.

Even though merino is a softer fiber, I still have to have something between the wool and my skin. I'm fine with natural fabrics, but I have to cut the tags out of everything I wear because they itch a lot. I can wear cashmere or angora next to my skin, especially since they get softer over time.

C'mon, Spokane Girl, ya don't hafta get all jumpy and everything. You obviously brought up a subject a lot of people have strong feelings about, even if you didn't mean to.

You're an aspie. You know we got strong feelings about weird things.

Tell you the truth, I can't be sure what your mother meant. As far as I know, I never met your mother, and if by chance I ever did, I didn't know she was your mother. Even if your mother was my best friend, I'm not a mind reader, in fact I'm the opposite, I'm an aspie.

You know your mother a lot better than I do, so why are you asking me?

Get ready to be outraged once again, cause you brought up one of my favorite topics. I'm totally in love with marino wool. When you're out in serious weather, or even just chilly, wool is the stuff to wear. Synthetics provide good insulation, but they don't have that living feel to them. Synthetics are like getting a comforting hug from a shower curtain.

But marino wool has all the good qualities of wool, but it feels more like silk. Mmmm, I love it. I have marino wool long johns and they're totally wonderful.

Oops...sorry...well, I'm not really sure what your mother meant.

But if you think somebody might have insulted you years ago when you were a kid, couldn't you find something more fun to be wondering about?

Well I don't know what to say because I don't know an answer to your questions.

It's so confusing when I hear us talking about how we hate wool so it got me to think could my mother meant us on the spectrum or everyone in general about wool. I would have to ask her to see if some people's answers on here were right. She might not remember saying it but I can give it a try and I sure hope she won't get all upset like she usually does.

CLEARLY in a minority- i LOVE wool! in fact, i was thinking yestoday about how i wish i could wear it all over, as its so nice, esp merino. yum yum.

but cashemere is a bit suspect, and even seeing/thinking baout angora -ugh- makes me feel sick, and i cant touch it.

but wool is lovely. im wearing it now, on my arms, without anything beneath...lovely!
