I don't generally do parties unless I know there's something to do like I don't know play trivia (I DOMINATE at trivia :D) or if there's a lot of people I know there.

For exmple, there was a trivia night that I was invited to about a week ago, and I really wanted to go, but I ended up freaking out and not going because I was afraid I wouldn't know anybody there. I'm kinda mad that I didn't go - it turns out there was some people I knew there, and their table was losing pretty badly :( (I wish there was a "shaking my head" emoticon)

Aspies like to gather in small groups for parties. They bring sharp objects and ritualistically cut themselves while mentally masturbating about how miserable they are and how lonely they are...

I'm joking! I have a very dark sense of humour.

Me and my friends all (mostly) have AS and we usually like to hold movie nights (usually of bad films) and we have a good laugh. We might play video games or laugh at clips on the internet or talk about our interests (most of us are fascinated with media or art in some way and will incessantly talk about it). One of my friends is obsessed with children's programming from the 80's and 90's and advertising from that era as well. That's perfect because I'm obsessed with animation, film and TV. We get on very well in that respect.

My behavior at parties depends highly on the context and the location of the gathering. If I'm hosting a party at my house for example, I'm usually the guy that is in the kitchen cooking, or mixing drinks for everyone. If I'm at a friend's house I am usually a friendly and easygoing wallflower. My actual social outgoing factor is really dependent on how many people I know are present. I'm very shy and quiet at parties where I only know 1-2 people, however when it's all friends and acquaintances it is a much different story.

That's a great question! I hardly been invited to parties of any kind. But whenever I'm invited to a party by someone I know from school or work, I try to mingle and converse with several people. The hardest part of attending parties is following conversations with 4 or more people especially when the music is damn loud. And NO....I haven't encountered any drunk people yet.

parties.....eeeeeek. (runs in the closet and hides)

I usually get so overwhelmed with the music and the people and the crowd conversation thing is really confusing...its like watching verbal racketball

my step family expects me to go to these huge church parties ( party like its 1909!! !)
and I usually hang out with the chef because it is more 1 on 1.

one time I went to a international club party....I thought it would be cool all these folks talking about their cultures and so on, Hell no, they drank like fishes and booty danced. If I wanted to put up with that I would go to the frat house. ( I doubt I would get in anyway) so I was so bored and overwhelmed at the same time, so I just took a nap till my friend was ready to go.

my kind of party is something that has a central focus...like a movie or a game or some kind of structure that socializing is not the main event. I love working on murals, and artist group projects.

I used to get drunk and fall all over some pretty girl. Her boyfriend then would decide to try to take off my head which would lead to a big scuffle. Pretty girls always seem to end up with the same sort of fellow--a big hulking mass of insecurity and machismo. I would hit him and he would hit me and we would strut around until we were both satisfied that we had won or got thrown out. Then I would go home alone.

After I grew up a little bit, I realized that heavy drinking wasn't suddenly giving me the social skill I thought. I tried doing what I saw other people doing with a little success, but most people would end up seeing me as too unusual or would end up thinking I was on drugs. I seem to be a good source of gossip for people. Most of the time I ended up hating getting smacked in the face that I was so different. It was rarely fun.

Today, if I have a social gathering for work or just want to get out of my normal element, I just act cool and aloof. Most people buy that. It seems to be attractive to people as long as I remember not to drop the act and be myself. I think I probably come off as too arrogant or too intellectual for most people's tastes if I let myself. I forget sometimes that people go to parties to have a good time.

I seldom go to parties. I mostly go to family functions & I hang by my parents & wait to leave or hang by myself or by one family member; he's usually the one watching the kids(they have four) he tends to get ignored at those things to. When I go to other functions related to none family things with my paretns; I tend to hang by em & wait to leave

I just get drunk, and try and find some way of getting in on conversations if I can. I don't go to many parties.

Partying is for losers like those who "have a real life".

Yeah! Quake DM and CounterStrike!

Also I'm a huge fan of ArmA2, but it isn't for everyone. Gamers have little patience for driving a HMMWV for 10 minutes to get to the action, only to get shot right away. :D

If I have a glass of wine I sort of party. Mostly I find a comfortable chair and get perched.
I'm not able to do the required small talk. I'm so uncomfortable....... yeah, parties!!
