Is extreme social isolation normal for Aspergers?

Normally, I isolate. For the past two weeks I've increased my isolation a bit; ie, I turned off my phone, closed my FB account, and rarely answer my emails. I started writing a new novel so I have to maintain my focus on that till it's finished, maybe 4 or 6 months from now. I go for days without speaking to anyone, and like Meistersinger says, it does get lonely, but c'est la vie.
