I agree

See what happens when one is inspired?

Reciprocity is a product of inspiration.

A lot of the back and forth is often "I say potato...you say...well you get the drift...

I can only go back and forth when I have a disagreement with someone. Otherwise, I just get bored after a few posts. I know it sounds terrible, but it's the truth.

Speaking of reciprocity... I have noticed that when two people online get into a long debate with each other, I quickly lose interest in what they're saying, and just skip to the next post that is only a new "I think..." post.
That is if they are debating something. I wonder if anyone else lack the interest for it?

In chat threads like "Last person to post wins" however I like a bit of back and forth.

What I find funny is that, in chat threads on other, more 'NT' message boards, I'm the life of the party, wheras in the chat threads here on WP I can barely manage to elicit responses, or carry a conversation for more than 3 posts. :P

Cannot understand arguements or many posts. I need a prompt to answer.

Debates can be interesting if the debaters bring up new ideas to add to the original post. But if they are simply refuting inconsistencies in each others' posts, they just become tedious to read.

linatet – I think this sums it up well for me. This is how I use WP (when responding to another’s post).

This is usually how it is for me, too.
