it wasn't even filmed until less than a year ago. maybe it was a different mother...

if you find the clip that you're thinking of, id like to see it... its scary to think that there are multiple mothers who feel the same way. 8O

Okay -- slightly less than a year ago. There has been a (shortened) version of this movie out since last spring. In fact, right when it came out, several murders occurred, and it was used to justify one of those murders. I remember it all too clearly.

if she didnt want her daughter why not just give her up for adoption? is adoption that shameful? or would it be too hard to get someone to take a kid that has a disability? i think autism is cute and if i ever have any kids i want one to be autistic

Though only a select few know of this, my mother also attempted to inflict extreme bodily harm on me -- stabbed me in the leg with a steak knife when I was twelve or so (knife broke at the hilt against my Levis, thank goodness), suspected poisoning when I was nineteen (can't prove it, but if it walks like a duck...), and tried to run me over with her car when I was twenty. Although cruel to my brothers as well, I took the brunt of her hatred and abuse.

Our mothers should get together with the b***h in that video and have one big crazy party. :evil:

Alex, the short version of this movie has been out since May of last year, including that clip. Links have been posted at this board. It's from Autism Speaks.

Theres only a short version, actually as it's a short documentary. EDIT: there is also a longer 40 something minute version i don't have.

Petitions aren't going to do anything! I can't believe more people haven't revolted at this! And it seems like the people who did revolt weren't even heard by anyone else. I'M OUTRAGED!

I'm not saying that I would do it. But, if that is what Autism Speaks stands for we really don't need them.

Yes lovely. Well at least she knew she shouldn't have kids but she grew up in a time where she had little choice. This woman doesn't even have that excuse. You would think things have changed and it digusts me to see they haven't.

My mother would do her in. I can tell just by watching her she isn't as stealthy as my mother. My mother did sit there and calmly (just like this woman) tell me that she tried to kill my brothers (in agonizing detail which I later found out was accurate) when I was ten years old. Such a comforting feeling. That's why anyone can say what they want. That woman needs to be checked out by child services. She's probably already tried to take out that kid and the fact that she made that video and wasn't even investigated will just make her more confident that she can get away with it. That's how their brains work.

Personally, I don't want her locked up, her brain is just screwed up, but I don't want her around some poor kid either.
