I do software quality assurance automation for a software company in the medical field. It's a big company so it's nice to be able to fly (for the most part) under the radar. I mostly sit with my headphones on (even if I am not listening to music, it acts as a sound blocker) and do my work. I do get distracted a lot. I also go the the bathroom a lot just to sit in the stall and decompress. Mostly I only get people mentioning how i wear my jacket inside and go to the bathroom a lot but the situation is pretty good.

I've had a Customer Service job for 5 years and an Admin/people facing role for 15 years before that. I am married and have 2 children. It is difficult to tolerate (work & family), but it can be done. I am very far up the autistic spectrum.
The social worker in this case is not qualified to make a diagnosis and should be ignored. You need a referral to a qualified person.

I've had 3 jobs in the past 3 years. None of these has lasted more than a year but all of them were either temporary or fixed term roles. I've never been fired from any job that I've had so my problem is not holding down a job but finding one that's permanent or at least lasts longer than a year.
