If the van works without whatever part it is you can probably save for it, just zone out the manipulative nonsense and do what you need to.

My cousin drove the thing like 50 miles... Now he's claiming it needs a new battery...

That doesn’t even make sense: batteries are recharged from the motion of the vehicle (I don’t know the exact details, but that’s the gist).
Sure it wasn’t left with it’s lights on all night?
Have you tried starting it to check?

This. These people are taking advantage of you :(

It would be useful to go on a "need to know" basis and set new boundaries with them.

That's a lovely picture, Agnix, I'm glad you're having fun with your new camera

What a lovely little fellow! :D

At our old house we had a hawthorn hedge at the bottom of the garden and it was full of his cousins all spring and summer.
Delightful

Nice photo as well: you’ve definitely got the skill to justify a decent camera :D

Now I feel bad... That guy sold the camera cheap because the large lcd didn't work... I tinkered with the camera... A setting was just wrong, the lcd works fine...

Perfectly good camera worth a couple hundred dollars for 75 8O

^neither of you were aware of that at the time: a camera was, in mutual innocence, bought and sold as faulty.

Secondly, I’m pretty sure it’s his responsibility as a businessman to check and know his wares, and offer them for sale at a concomitant price: he should have worked out what you have for himself.

'Selfishness' isn't inherently bad. The bad kind of selfishness is the type that harms other people.
