"Well, we'll just have to agree to disagree."

Noooo!! ! That's not an agreement! Besides, it is infuriating when everybody knows darn well they are supposed to agree with me. Duh.

Lol, mum used to give me the 'it takes 2 to make an argument'. That was before I grew older. Now she is convinced that my father and I can cause an argument anywhere, regardless of whether or not we have a partner!

Ooh eamonn, now we have an answer to your 'what's the arrow for' question!

Yes and the answer for it's use was even dumber than i thought it would be. It's also dishonest, not every situation is nice so that is like asking us all to become robots. I wonder if there's an emoticon that says "if you cant express yourself in words without an overbundance of internet chatspeak and emoticons then the english language is probably wasted on you!"?

It's not quite the same. I could have said 'people with brown eyes' or 'people who eat meat' or 'people who listen to rock music' to choose arbitrary examples of groups I have nothing against*, but by saying 'most people' I leave anyone free to decide whether they belong to that selection or not :)

You are still stigmatising "most" of the population without even meeting them. If people here were to believe you and follow that logic then they would feel pressurised to think that "most" people they see in day today life dont "think".

How would you like it if people presumed you are a non-thinking person without even having met you before just because they happen to feel that most people dont think, so based on the slight odds of you being a thinking person they just didnt bother taking the time to find out for themselves? Think about that before you post such blatant, insulting generalisations on here again!

Haha, that's quite good. True as well. Like it how they do it in chatspeak just to put it down to their level so as their innatentive brains can get it before phasing out to the next slogan they see. They being directed at anyone in particular here unless you think it is you, in which case it probably is!

Sweetheart, I MADE that icon! The chatspeak is intended to add to the irony.

"Why don't you smile?"

The obvious reply is "because what you just said/did is not funny, even if you think it is." ... but that's not polite.

I hate the capitalist mantra: "If you work hard, you will do well"

and "We help people to help themselves".

They sound such self-righteous pieces of right-wing s**t I have heard in my entire life - what about people that can't help themselves for God's sake.
