If I were a woman, my hat of choice would be one of these:

Perfectly comme il faut, in a restaurant or anywhere else.

Lawyers and judges still must wear suits where I work.

They still have to in court, over here.

After I had my combined radiation/chemotherapy I was asked to remove my hat in a club restaurant.
I did, but the people with me ended up complaining to management.
I'd only lost hair on one side of my head and I was looking like a real freak.
We ended up leaving soon after.

You should have stayed, Raleigh.

The people who complained are idiots.....

It's like a club policy, I think.
You can't wear hats inside.

 I'm sorry that happened. I would have left with you. That's a whole different ballgame, so to speak.

And they still wouldn't let you put it back on? Of course, that's wrong.

Anyway, I think I'm a stylish dresser, when I make an effort.
I like good quality, structured, well-fitting clothing.
Baggy or stretchy clothing is out. I don't like t-shirts, or fleece.

Isabella Linton. You know my yacht was a model yacht and not one I could actually go on? I thought I would mention it, just incase. I would love to go on a real boat again, though I don't know if I would get sea sick. I pass out if I go sick and someone has to ensure my airways are clear etc. Probably best I keep to land or near land... But I love the idea... :) As a child to a young adult I seemed ok on the three times I had been on boats... Actually 5 times as two times were to get to an island, and then back....
Promethus18. Something came to mind when you posted that picture. A vision...

( MG, Yes it took me a moment but I realised you were describing models. I'm a literal thinker but of course! My brother made models including yachts and cars and fighter jets. I should have known sooner. )

I wear button-down shirts/polo shirts and chino-type pants to work.

During weekends, I tend to wear shorts and tee-shirts in the summer; and sweatpants and tee-shirts in the winter. If I go out to dinner, I dress in my work-type clothes.

Maybe they would have let me put it back on, we didn't stay long.

It was a real racing yacht. It didn't do anything slow. I was amazed as it even went quite quickly against the wind. Only precisely dead on into the wind would it stall. I could sail it in higher winds as well.
