Yet I don't really feel tired, is this weird? Anyone else been in this situation?

It could be a delayed reaction.

Probably, as Arisa says, a delayed reaction. You'll probably feel absolutely exhausted tomorrow. I've done this a few times, stayed up all night without problem then crashed the next day.

This is a NIGHTLY problem for me...dh snores like a lumberjack so I stay up and read until the wee morning hours & then the alarm goes off at 4:30am & I have to try to wake up to feed my lumberjack his breakfast & get him off to work...I'm usually able to sleep then until 9 or 10 in the am...This is probably a bad habit I'm forming!

I hardly got any sleep last night, and I'm exhausted right now. Even after drinking two Mountain Dews I'm still yawning every 5 minutes.

I've gone three days with 5 hours of light snoozing.
Is it that you can't sleep or you just don't feel like it?

I was like that for three weeks a couple of years ago. I had insomnia and I still wasn't tired the next day.

It's a bit of both, however I just woke up from a 1 1/2 hour long nap, apparently to sleep all I need is a cool room, a soft chair, and my dog in my lap, who knew?

I deal with insomnia, brought on mostly because of stress and also because I really like staying up all night, I don't get tired until 7:30 or 8:00am when I do stay up all night. I take meletonin to go to sleep earlier, because I go to work with my brother sometimes and my siblings always have an opinion for everything I do, pretty soon here I'm going to tell them I don't care for it.

I have insomnia on a pretty regular basis. For just about most of my adolescent and adult life I've had difficulty sleeping, difficulty waking up, and usually can't get more than 2-3 hours of sleep at a time. It's been especially bad with the really hot weather lately. Earlier this week I went about 33 hours without sleep. The longest I've gone without sleep is 50-something hours (I was in pretty bad shape by the end so I don't remember exactly when I finally fell asleep).

For extended periods of sleeplessness I find that I will occasionally experience periods of extreme exhaustion where I can barely function, but still be unable to sleep. After about 30-40 minutes of this I get a "second wind," so to speak, and am fine for several hours. I hate those exhaustion periods.

I downed three cups of coffee, then I took a nap.

Over the years I've found that I tend to sleep better during the day.

I do that all the time. Sometimes I go days without sleeping.
