Great Things About ASD

Every single human on this planet, irrespective of their ‘label’, has a talent, great traits and abilities. If they are allowed to grow and show and enjoy these traits, everyone else can benefit greatly from them as well.
What you see is what you get!
Very rarely do they lie, and if they do, they are the ones that usually get caught! They tell it as they see it, which I find to be a very refreshing trait to possess in a world that sometimes is not so honest.
Open eyes!
Autistic people get to experience the world in a clear and real way. Not being concerned about social cues and social acceptance frees them up to experience things that others don’t get the opportunity to.
Non-judgmental!
Autistic people accept all others without judgments. Though they may discuss certain things about others, this is not gossiping – usually this is their way of gaining an understanding of a situation they find confusing.
They are also not so wrapped up in the shallow surface of others – they give people time and love nothing more than to meet the real person underneath.
They don’t try to “Keep up with the Jones’s”!
Autistic people enjoy the activity. They like the activity. They have a genuine interest in things and are not just trying to meet the level of other people’s standards and expectations. They do it for themselves. There is no falseness, and they wear no masks either.
Fantastic Memories!
Autistic people have amazing memories. They have an uncanny ability to take notice of details and they can be stronger in this area than their “normal” peers.
Because of this, they can sometimes be victimized and accused of making things up because the average person does not remember specifics.
They Don’t Play Mind Games!
Autistic people are less likely to play mind games with others. They call it as it is, and expect the same back.
Unfortunately though, they get used and confused. It is not socially acceptable if someone calls it as it is and so society makes them wrong for it.
Personally, I find it very refreshing to be with people who don’t play mind games.
Allow you to experience life on a real level!
Autistic people allow us to experience life on a level of truth. They have no hidden agendas and they allow us to grow in ourselves by expanding our mindsets, beliefs and assumptions – which, I don’t mind saying, are false most of the time.
I call them ‘Real people in a Fake world’!
