I answer with a great big "No." I do not hate disabled people---I respect them.

I admit that for a period of time I hated mentally disabled people, but that's because I was I had to ride on a bus for them for two years, and they scared me, and I was abused because of it, including by a few of the mentally disabled people. I've come to respect and be sympathetic to them now.

This short story is 95% guaranteed to cure abhorrence of the disabled, and is known for even making stoics such as myself cry. Bubbles

This is extremely disturbing. I find it absolutely scary that anyone could even consider this kind of situation - and call people "inferior abominations". It's just...horrifying.

But to answer your questions: No, absolutely not. I do not hate the disabled, I would never consider any of the methods you mentioned in the quotation above. I admire people who are able to overcome obstacles. It shows perseverance and dedication, two qualities I respect.

No. My mother is physically disabled and I try to take care of her.

I hate when I see non-disabled people, especially students on campus, use handicap accessible devices. If you're perfectly capable of opening the door, why would you press the button to open the door for you? What if someone in a wheelchair needs it? I just feel like people can be lazy.

What's wrong with people pushing the handicap button so the door can open for them? It's not taking it away from the disabled people.

I guess I feel like it's made specially for them, and it would be rude if I used it when I'm not disabled myself.
