I can see the twisting colors flashing on my left side and the blurriness.

I get those too. Oddly I never have pain, just the flashing aura lights. Mine start small in the center of my vision, then grow larger into a ring. It lasts about twenty minutes and I can't see what's directly in front of my eyes, just kind of around the flashing lights. It's extremely annoying but it doesn't happen often for me.

I wish I had that, Birdie! Now you're making me jealous! I'm glad you don't have accompanying pain.

Do you have Synesthesia as well?

Alas, I only see numbers as numbers, and letters as letters.

Oh Kraftie, don't be jealous of something so annoying, lol! When these happen, you can't do anything -- can't read, watch a movie, even wash the dishes. You basically can't really see anything properly. I got it once while driving down a freeway.

I don't have synesthesia, no, but some of that experience sounds pretty amazing.

Same here. I don't have the pain. I do remember one episode, though, where I could not speak properly because my words came out of my mouth funny, but that was in just one episode.

The aura effect is a common type of migraine. I get it too.
My Dr said it was usually the result of stress during the previous 24hrs.
Apart from stress, I sometimes get it from lack of sleep.
The first time I got it was at 15 and I thought I was going blind.
