I enjoyed reading Aspergers in the Family by Lianne Halliday Wiley. I've still to get her book Pretending to be Normal. I haven't seen it cheap yet.

I will have a look for this book you've recommended too. Just looked it up on Amazon and it looks good.

I find it difficult to get books about autism written for or about women, but there are more being published than there used to be.

Women From Another Planet? (question mark in the title). It's a book of essays written by autistic women.

There are many autism books I'd recommend:

Emergence: Labeled Autistic, Thinking in Pictures, Different Not Less, and The Autistic Brain by Temple Grandin

Nobody Nowhere and Somebody Somewhere by Donna Williams

Following Ezra by Tom Fields-Mayer

All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome and Inside Asperger's Looking Out by Kathy Hoopmann

George and Sam by Charlotte Moore

Asperger's and Girls by Tony Attwood and Temple Grandin

Aspergirls by Rudy Simone

The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida

The Only Boy in the World by Michael Blastland

I'll add some more as I think of them. :)

Ah, yes, I would heartily recommend "Look Me in the Eye," too! How could I have forgotten the works of John Elder Robison? :D

Excellent choices; don't know why I gave the former to my Mom now that I've seen it.
