When I feel mentally under stimulated I get this sharp pain in my stomach, a feeling of heaviness and emotional deadness.

I often feel mentally under stimulated when I stay inside all day or spend too much time playing games or browsing stupid websites.

Even if I'm enjoying the activity that I'm doing I still get that pain. I often have to stop what I'm doing and do something mentally stimulating instead. Even if I'd rather do the non-mentally stimulating activity I was doing before.

I get the heaviness and emotional deadness but I tend to feel the pain in my head. It's when emotional pain takes on a physical form. My whole body twists in desperation to find something more stimulating and then my legs just start moving on their own accord.

I'm not sure what it is. Is it ADHD or bipolar? One of them at least.

I think it's ADHD. I have many ADHD symptoms, but barely have any bipolar symptoms. I only get bipolar symptoms after a major panic attack

I definitely have physical symptoms when I am mentally understimulated. I get weird feelings in my head, especially behind my eyes. Also, my nose gets really stuffy and sometimes I sneeze a lot.

Sometimes it is hard for me to figure out how to get the mental stimulation I need. I think this is because I need variety. I can do one activity that is really interesting for a while and feel stimulated -- say work on one of my hobbies or special interests -- then, after a while, I need to something else.

For me, feeling understimulated feels like my brain shutting down. One of the key aspects of my life is to constantly work to be adequately mentally stimulated.
