This point is not often made, and it seems a timely contribution to Autism Awareness Day material.

Would Autism Acceptance Day be more useful?? Possibly it would, by not playing into the hands of Autism Speaks, who are Anti-Acceptance to the extreme, and promote Awareness of our "disease" in their typically stigmatising and "leprous" fashion, as Suzanne Wright did recently.
