Owen Suskind/My Autistic regression vs CDD

The type of regression and developmental course before Owen Suskind and I have is quite rare just like Childhood Disntegrative Disorder, a very similar to the condition Owen and I had (watch from start to 2:00 http://www.cbsnews.com/news/breaking-th ... ey-movies/). And when stuff like that does occcur it is possible for a doctor who knows what CDD is to diagnose Owen Suskind when he was almost 3 and me at 2 1/2 with CDD. In fact, between the time I regressed and the time I improved (spoke again at 5, diagnosed Aspergers at 6), I had fit DSMIV's criteria for 'Childhood Disintegrative Disorder'. Owen Suskind also fits the criteria for CDD during the age right after he regressed.
There were a lot of similarities between that unusual autistic regression Owen and I had and CDD:
1)Completly normal development before regression
2)Regressed within a matter of weeks
3)Lost mutiple skills
4)Had night anxiety prior to and at the start of the regression
5)Occured at ages 2 1/2 and almost 3
Especially since it was not a typical autstic regression where they were early delays and later losses, it would be easy to categorize Owen and I as CDD. I know that many of the bad known cases of CDD occur at a much older age like up to age 10. But the criteria in DSMIV says regressive onset for real CDD can happen at age 2, the same age Owen and I regressed at, and even earlier than that (like 18 months old). I do realize that comparison as adults is more obvious being that I have HFA and Owen lives in the world of Disney.
But there are little differences at the age of our regression from CDD at the same age (age 2 almost 3) and the only ones are different more severe EEG (not always visible) and the only visible difference is that Childhood Disintegrative Disorder does NOT have the uneven abilities and special intellectual obsessions. Could there be any more visible differences between the unusual type of regressive autism Owen and I had vs Childhood Disintegratove Disorder with regressive onset at age 2?
