I just hate it when people come round to my house and start using my stuff without permission and it almost makes me have a meltdown. I can't stand it.
What do you do when people use your stuff without permission?

I hate people coming round at all, generally. What kind of stuff are they using?

At home, I call the cops on them. At work, I walk right up to them and take my property back. Yes, I get called an "a**hole" and worse, but they rarely ever steal from me again.

(Hint: It helps to clearly mark your property with your name - an electric engraver is a great investment.)

yeah. ask first. if you LIVE in the house with me, then i don't mind if you get a glass, or a plate, silverware, bowl, drink from the fridge.... but if it's in my bedroom, then living here or not, i prefer you ask.

I don't tolerate this, I don't really like it even with permission depending on what it is(like my phone or computer)

i kinda get upset by it, i especially hate it when someone comes in and starts eating my food and drinking my juice and stuff i flip out, mainly because my fridge is organised and they mess it up AND they don't ask. its really frustrating when people touch my stuff, speaking of stuff, i have a guy in my class who WONT STOP touching me, because he knows i hate being touched so he wont stop, touching stuff including myself is off limits without permission

I get mad when my mum puts stuff in my room without asking me first, because it feels like a violation of my personal space. I try not to get mad.

**** yes

Even as a kid i hated other kids playing with my toys because they were mindless morons and would break them.

And last week i took to writing "don't ****ing touch" on my milk in the fridge at work.

I don't mind so much if people ask, but i still don't trust them with things.

My threshold is different. If someone has gained friendly access to my home, they're pretty much welcome to anything. I'm generous with the people I let get close to me. That, however, is a very short list.

I would probably hurt him and totally own up to my motivation. School punishment is temporary. Being an impudent dickshit can be forever. Then again, I'm a bad influence. You probably shouldn't do what I would do. >_>

i did do that to a bully in primary school once, he got physical, swinging me around then to the floor, my mum told me: just hit him next time he does that, and so i did....outside school though after he did it again i punched him and yelled "mum i punched him just like you said!" my mum was mortified however i was outside school so didn't get punished by them haha crazy times indeed....like that time at playgroup i got so scared i pulled my mums trousers down cos i was clinging onto her to tightly......yeah.....i was the worst.

Hey, if it works, it works, right? Moral relativism, etc.?

I don't like anyone touching my stuff, much less using it.

I cannot stand it. I can be generous with household members but the line is drawn at my personal things, if it is "MY stuff"? gonna get a spark up. I have very rarely lived in any type of roommate situation with unrelated person.

I also don't like things reorganized, specially example like: room mate moves dishes yet doesn't normally put away or wash them..... Soooo... for their convenience in using and taking they made it inconvenient to the one cleaning and working? (guesses to number weeks that arrangement lasted)

The specific incident I had in mind whilst I was typing my post was when my uncle came round and started playing my guitar without asking. He was pulling the strings way too hard and it made me tense up and start stimming. Then, to make matters worse, he started re-tuning it to the most awful sounding pitches in the world, and it made me want to cry (and I almost did). I had to get my headphones and turn the volume up so I couldn't hear it anymore. I didn't do anything because I got so stressed that I went mute.
