I'm going to pray that all the people who have done me wrong in my life are abducted by aliens in their sleep, tonight.

Damn! A whole website devoted to the topic of alien abductions.

I have my own theory. Our solar system is like Yellowstone Park: a game preserve in a vast interstellar empire of an alien race that rules a whole swath of the galaxy. And they send park rangers down here to tag the local wildlife to keep track of migration, and of mating, health, and so forth. Catch and release. The wildlife includes us humans, the tags being those little high tech implants that they put into the folks they abduct.

Thats the premise of the great American sci fi novel I've been intending to write.

Hope this website hasnt stolen my idea!

Will have to check the site out!

So far from what Ive read on that site: the aliens are trying to breed a hybrid human-alien race, but theyve been botching it and the result is autism in humans.

But wouldnt that mean that humans (like most of us on WP) dxd with autism spectrum disorders would then have tiny bits of alien DNA in our genomes?

I spent my late childhood and early teens utterly sure I was being abducted by aliens. The more I read about abductions, the stronger I believed. My earliest psychologist believed I was suffering from paranoid delusions, but it's easy enough for anyone to become a victim of hysteria, and that this might interlink with an apparent grudge against people with autism.

I guess you were a victim of the power of suggestion.

I'm a victim of a good sci-fi novel, more likely.

One of the theories that I formed when I was younger was that everyone around me was being abducted by aliens, and then returned. I was the only one who stayed on earth through all of that.

Oh, the crazy things you think up as a little kid.

I have never encountered you before.

And, this is Wrongplanet where alot of folks dont get things like reading between the lines (which is why its a good idea to inform folks you're being sarcastic as I did above). And folks also vary in educational background.

So here is some advice for visiting wrongplanet: never assume that the person you're speaking to understands things that seem obvious.

I couldnt tell which you were being. Confused, or sarcastic. On WP it could be either.

On WP you can encounter an illiterate ( I had to explain to fellow Americans what an ethnic W.A.S.P. is) on one thread , and then encounter a highly educated braniac engineer type in another thread- but a brainiac who is too obtuse to get obvious sarcasm that a child would pick up easily . You just never know. So thats why I had to tease out where you were coming from.
