Pressure on fingers
I have trouble describing this but I'm going to try to as best I can. Sometimes I have this weird thing where I feel a need to have equal pressure on all of my fingers. So if I'm typing or using a computer mouse it can become almost painful - I have to keep stopping and pressing all of my fingers equally. It's like the fingers that aren't being used almost feel left out - I know that doesn't make any sense. But when one or two fingers are doing something, sometimes I get this incredibly uncomfortable feeling in all the other fingers that only stops when I press them all. I don't get it all the time, maybe when I'm tired or stressed or something - I'm not sure what triggers it exactly. But it's incredibly annoying when it happens.
I've tried to describe this to people before and nobody ever knows what I'm talking about. Does anyone else here get it?
Many of my stims involve pressure on my fingertips or fingernails, but I can't say I've had an immediate need to apply pressure to all my fingers at once.
Maybe some kind of hyposensitivity on your fingers?

I also stim by pressing my fingertips/nails to a hard surface.
I don't think I get it as bad as you do, but I do sometimes feel a need for an equal pressure on all fingers. And also achieving equal temperature in both hands. So, If I've been typing on the keyboard with only one hand, it will start feeling cold and I can't relax until I've warmed it up, or cooled down the other hand. Or if I've been drawing, that will put pressure on my thumb and index finger, and suddenly I will have to start pressing on all the other fingers until the feeling is balanced throughout both hands.
I'm finding it really hard to describe as well.

Yes that's how it feels though. When pressure is being put on a couple of fingers the others need to be pressed too. It's such an uncomfortable feeling, I find it impossible to ignore and carry on. I've never had the need for equal temperature but I can see how that would be similar.
It made it hard for me to learn the piano at school because I'd want to keep crashing all the fingers down on the keys at once. I'd have to stop playing so I could press all my fingers against something else. I find a computer mouse easier to use than a pressure pad type mouse because then I can wrap all of my fingers around it. I can see how drawing would cause the same problem.
Anyway it's interesting to know someone else knows what I'm talking about. Thankfully it doesn't always happen.
