I guess I'm the exception. I love Christmas. I agree that a lot of aspies don't.

I like Christmas. But I do not believe it's an Aspie thing to dislike Christmas though, because I know a lot of NTs who hate Christmas with the "Christmas is for children" attitude. I know an NT has family and children but decided to do voluntary work over Christmas because she doesn't like Christmas.

I like Christmas itself.

I don't like the "leadup" to Christmas (aka "The holiday season").

I love Christmas. It is my favorite time of the year. I love singing at church at that time.

I like Christmas, and I like decorating the house and watching Christmas specials and movies. I do admit, though, that I would sometimes feel sad as well because I wished I was a kid again, and that Santa is real...

That's similar to how I feel, I enjoy Christmas at the end of December but hate it in October!

I think as a holiday it's overkill and the insistence on all gifts being a surprise in gift wrapping seems absurd. I mean this is just me giving stuff to my parents; I feel ripping off the gift wrap is a thing for kids. I just this is getting weird.

I also have a hard time figuring out what to buy my parents because they're older retirees and always complain that they have to much stuff already getting rid of it in garage sales. Plan B is consumables but they don't drink much alcohol anymore and I don't want to give them typical Christmas foods packed with sugar. I wound up buying them things like Summer Sausage, Crackers, or Cheeses, but it's still a hassle to me and buying gourmet food gets expensive.

After all that, my presents from well meaning presents was a piece of s**t drone from Walmart that broke the first day I tried it. They felt bad so they gave me cash since it was a return, but I'd rather skip all this BS and just visit with maybe a Christmas dinner. I really feel that the presents for Christmas or even birthdays is a thing for kids and this is getting silly and weird.

I do not want presents and I don't want to have to load up debt back onto my credit card in some present buying guessing game. :?

I have actually made it a point to enjoy Halloween, mostly just watching horror flicks. Once November starts, I feel like we're under such a dominating and pervasive Christmas Holiday that to me it almost feels like a Cult.

I like to enjoy Halloween too but I'm a massive horror fan anyway! :D

Then it seems like as soon as Christmas and New Year are over they start wanting to sell us Easter eggs

I love Christmas, though i'm an Atheist.

I particularly love the food, the shiny decoration lights, the cozy feeling of staying inside in the darkness, the food, the large amounts of candy, pastries, the food, presents... and oh, did i mention the food?

I love wrapping presents up and opening presents. People who say it's for kids are just boring and I choose to ignore them. Adults can enjoy surprises and opening gifts too.

...IIRC. you are Jewish, but family-atheistic. What did your family do? What do you do as a 59-something, married, adult?

Those Salvation Army bell ringers are so annoying. I know it's for a good cause, but I just can't take the ringing. As soon as I hear it, I leave. I hope stores realize that they are driving away business by allowing the bell ringers. Surely the Salvation Army can find a way to raise money silently.

I like Christmas except for the shopping. Going to the malls is torture, especially when I don't know what to get or can't find it. Even online shopping on is stressful. Maybe even more so since I never get the item right away or even get to see the item in real life until it arrives.

My mother said last week maybe she'll get me signed up for Amazon Prime next Christmas. I told her "That's kind of a long time."

Seriously, it's hard to believe we had Christmas less than three month ago and in a couple of weeks it'll be Easter. But I like Easter. Bunnies, eggs, chocolate. Pretty pastel colors. Spring. :D

I only started celebrating Christmas in my 20s. It's a weird tradition to me but I do like the festivities. I don't like the fact that I'm the only person responsible for all gifts, wrapping, cooking and hosting parties. I would like somebody else to take care of things sometimes and I just sit back and enjoy.
