Hi, WP. my thoughts on this day being Autism Awareness Day.

For those of you new to me, I was diagnosed with being on the spectrum on March 13, 2014. In the five years since, I've taken to loving myself (NOT narcissistically, bear in mind!) for who I am, in spite of my shortcomings, and for the good I have to offer in the world.

Every year since that March day in 2014, I've found myself feeling less lonelier than ever, as I am hearing people who are "coming out" and being open about their diagnosis, like myself.

Why am I so open? Because I want the world to know and understand what it's like for people like us to be on the spectrum. And to celebrate who we are, for what we are.

My opinions?

Do what you want, but don't get too crazy.

My sister and I both changed our avatars on Facebook to show that we support Autism Acceptance on Autism Awareness Day.
