Anyone else can't stand visual media with human beings as the main characters or the only focus. Lion King was my main special interest as a kid and the only movie I would watch willingly. Movies, cartoons or TV shows with a human cast just frustrated me. I couldn't stand that Lion King Broadway show because they took the thing I loved the most by adding the thing I hated most.l This new "live action" version looks interesting, but I think in all honestly I will prefer the cartoon version the most. But anyway, I look at shows my friends liked as kids and they are shows I could never like or didn't like them because they centered around humans. My dislike of other humans, even fictional ones was disturbing to a particular therapist I had as a kid. But then she was the same b***h who would tell me that the bullying I was receiving in school was my fault somehow.

MagicMeerkat,

That therapist said a horrible and unfair thing when she said the bullying was your fault.

I prefer cat videos to videos with humans in them, because people do all kinds of stupid things in videos to get attention or get a laugh. Most of the human videos I see are unfunny, some crude and many depict dangerous activities of the "don't try this at home" variety. (Don't do it, period!)

I like to watch stories about people accomplishing things, however.

I'm the opposite - I love as much social interaction as possible in movies or comedies or dramas, etc. That is why I am into the Inbetweeners, Outnumbered and Grange Hill, because it's all about realistic, mundane everyday life with lots of human social interaction and emotions. It's so relatable.

I do like the Lion King though, but most, in fact, everyone I know wants to see the live action Lion King, including me.

I'm American, and I love British comedies (except for Absolutely Fabulous, which left me cold. The characters weren't likeable or personable at all).
