losing interest in passions by working full time
It's a shame that most of us don't get to pursue our passions in work, the way previous generations did. I admire people who could be blacksmiths, or carpenters, or raise livestock. I admire women who could sew and cook to manage inns, or support their families with art and writing. Even fifty years ago people were devoted to their jobs for life, climbing the corporate ladder and being dedicated to a company's goal.
It seems with the loss of skilled trades and with employee turnover being high, we've all lost a good chunk of our spirit in the process. It's like we're just bots. I agree it's very sad.
I hope you can find motivation to continue with your art.
