If you are unable to use the chatroom, please respond to this thread and tell me what the problem is! I would really like some feedback!

I couldn't get on it, because I didn't have the Java thing, but i found it now.

Does that mean you can get on the chat now?

Personally, I prefer connecting via an IRC client rather than the Java chat.

X-Chat is a good one for starters... it's available for all the major platforms.
Windows: http://www.silverex.info/
Mac: http://xchataqua.sf.net/
Linux/Unix: http://www.xchat.org/

There's also Colloquy on the Mac, which I'm sort of experimenting with right now... its interface feels slightly 'cleaner' than X-Chat's, but scripts are incompatible between the two, and there are some advanced features that are still not fully supported in Colloquy, so I keep a copy of X-Chat around as well.

Oh, yeah, the network's Freenode.net, and the channel name's #wrongplanet, for those who weren't sure.
