I have conversations with myself in private. It is a private moment. No one else can understand.

As long as I don't hear voices talking back at me, I figure talking to myself is harmless :)

Why did she tell you off for talking to yourself?? That is wrong as far as I concerned. My boy talks to himself or 'Lizard' (lizard isn't real) or his toys. I don't tell him to stop altho I do ask "who are you talking to?"

Constantly. One teacher in high school finally just starting screaming "shut up" at me for about five minutes.

My parents used to tell me to be quiet all the time. They believe that talk in cheap, and unless there's a real need to say something, silence is best. In other words, "silence is golden" was one of their life philosophies. So until age 5, I used to believe that "B. Quiet" [be quiet] was my name, because my parents said to me so often. (However, I also responded to my real name). Even after I cleared up that confusion, "be quiet" was one of the phrases I heard the most. Needless to say, I became very addicted to chat rooms when I first got access to the internet, because that was one of the few places where people were willing to have an actual conversation with me.

I don't generally talk around other people. Sometimes I'll get chatty and annoy people(Usually my #4 brother), but not often. I do talk to myself too, but not around other people. I'll just talk to myself in my head instead of out loud around people.

I get annoyed when people come around while I'm talking to myself and hope they didn't hear me, or if people ask me something while I'm thinking to myself. I know I shouldn't get annoyed, so I try to hide it.

People who incessantly yap at me annoy me(Like my #2 brother), unless I'm interested in what they're saying or something they say I'll ignore them, if they try to keep my attention I'll snap at them.

I'm also to sensitive. Once I was overly chatty with my dad, and he said something like "you talk to much" and I took it hard and stopped talking to him.
