People are strange, when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly when you're alone
People seem wicked, when you're unwanted
Streets are uneven, when you're down
When you're strange- faces come out of the rain (rain, rain)
When you're strange- no one remembers your name
When you're strange, when you're strange, when you're str-ange (Doors)
I wonder why it took this long. I have lived and worked in this area for 11 years. Yet people are only now telling me that I am different, odd, eccentric, wierd, strange. Are they joking with me? Why is everyone but me in on the joke? Some of these people said this in response to my telling them about my current circumstances. This means that for some reason they now find it easy to say, where before they did not. I don't get it. But I also think that since they know me well enough to know that I do a good job and I mean them no harm, they should get over it.
I'm strange and I like it
That's just the way I am
I can't change
I can't hide it
That's just the way I am
Might as well get over it
Don't try to understand
I'm strange and I like it
Just the way I am (Buzz on Maggie)
