Sorry, Anubis. I'm out of your squad's jurisdiction.

Speaking of which, anyone ever play guitar hero?
I own Guitar Hero, but I don't own a PS2. I play it on my roommate's system. Great game. I also love playing DDR.

Yeah, one of my friends got the newest on for Xbox 360 and we've been playing it like crazy. Does the guitar controller stand up pretty well over time? I know some of us have been putting a little force into it when we are strumming the cords. I'm wondering if we're not going to wear the thing out before the month is finished.
The guitar controller is much like a DDR pad in that it will hold up well if you treat it well. I've never had a DDR pad or a GH guitar stop working for me, because I don't bang on them.

With DDR, you can tell how good someone actually is by how little the pad moves beneath them. Someone who doesn't have much practice makes a lot of unnecessary moves which slide the pad all over the place. I once saw someone play through a song and the pad had moved 3 feet and turned 90 degrees by the end of the song. That's a bad DDR player.

With GH, the only part I've seen stop working is the wammy bar. If you look at the demos in Best Buy, that's always the one thing on the guitar that doesn't work. Not sure if the spring is any better on the 360, but that was always a problem with the ps2.
