I don't work, so I guess I'm not technically independent. My husband supports me and the kids. But he doesn't control our money, if anyone does it's me, since he always asks me before he buys anythiung that costs more than $20. :roll:

But before I married my husband, I was a single mom of 1, and even though I was barely scraping by, I was doing it.

Yes, that's one of the core things I'm trying to do with him. Especially since one of his (and my) problems is communication.
