Indeed, though I'm sure there's room for difference of opinion on this issue, as we all have different experiences.

I can only say that some NT's are lovely people. I have met very few of them.

There's good and bad among any class...

I tend to enjoy their company as well. There are a few I wouldn't miss though.

Loving me, loving you topic

I have met the odd one, you know, and that was enough for me! I quit while I was ahead.

I think I am in a teasing mood right now. Does not happen too often!

Yes, I'm sure there is.

There are a few I don't like to be around, either, but things like their ignorance and hatred should be pitied above anything else.

Can I be the odd one, too? Maybe we can both be odd ones together.

I agree - I have met many, many lovely NT people, they are all around us. It is all about shifting your focus from the not so lovelies to the amazingly compassionate, loving and forgiving ones in between.

I think you can find something to love in most people. Love never hurt anyone and I truly believe the secret of getting spectrum disorders accepted and respected in the NT world is to action our needs from a principle of love towards one another. I know, there are horror stories of NT's behaving in terrible ways and doing terrible things to those on the spectrum. But there are also so much care out there and so many positive stories. Try to forgive those that hurt you and try to love all, just find that something in them that you value, too, and see that they are as human as you are.
