I've been using methylphenidate for years and years and I take it at the same time every day.

Sometimes if I take it at a different time or too soon before or after food it had a different affect on me. Not an unpleasant affect but just different, as if it's not working as it should.

I use equasym slow release.

It's not really an issue as such but I just wondered if this is a common occurrence.

I Only have experience with antidepressants but....I noticed that missing one day had quite an effect. Similar to what you say.

I'm OK now but I took it a bit later today and it made me agitated. Like the opposite of how it normally works.

Did you try other things for ADHD? There are plenty now, try neurofeedback

Timing is an important component of any medication schedule.
