That's about what mine looks like too... except it's organized by racks into Jazz/World, Classical, Country and Pop/Rock.

What else do we collect? (Other than dust)

Approximately
1000 vinyl (45% LP) (50% 45 RPM) (5% 78 RPM)
400 cassettes
100 CDs

Never owned an iPod, since I independently invented digital sound
before I ever saw a CD, and I think iPods are disposable junk.

Preferred format obviously 45 RPM Vinyl.

I have four rather large rubbermaid containers stacked up full of cd's plus two smaller cd shelves. I also store larger boxsets on the bottom of my bookshelf.

Probably 500 cds and boxsets (mostly classical, new age and jazz), some 50-70's rock, some country and folk.

Most of my music is in MP3 format, but I have a few CDs. Some are scratched to the point of being nonplayable. Yes it's a new word I just created! :p

Blue October Consent to Treatment
Blue October Foiled
Linkin Park Meteora
Linkin Park Given Up
Aaron Carter That's How I Beat Shaq Single  (I got it when I was like 10)
Staind Greatest Hits
A Perect Circle
Tool Lateralus
System of a Down Mezmerized
Switchfoot
Audioslave
about 50 random mixed CDs
Slim Shady LP
a few more Eminem CDs
Silverstein 18 Candles
Silverstein Discovering the Waterfront
Hawthorne Heights If Only You Were Lonely
Hawthorne Heights The Silence in Black and White
Linkin Park and Jay-Z Collision Course
Bullet for my Valentine Deliver us from Evil (I think)
Blue October The Answers
Busted  my introduction to "punk" music
Eminem Curtain Call
Jay-Z The Black Album
30 Seconds From Mars
Simple Plan (my taste in music has improved!)

Some other stuff that I can't remember...

~500-600 CDs.
~100 tapes. Well, ok, maybe another 100 or so in the loft.
A handful of vinyl records.
A handful of DVDs of musical performances.

The CDs are all backed up onto computers, of course, but I don't do music downloads, legit. or otherwise (except for some collaborative mix CDs... which gives me an idea.)

I have 294 albums, 1 vinyl record (7") and 1 digitally downloaded album (free from Pond Life Studios). Some of those CD albums are double or even triple (Tom Waits and Joanna Newsom) albums.

I've about 500 or so cd's at last count. Dozen or so vinyls that I've picked up in charity shops over the years

Probably about 100 gigs of MP3/FLACC music on one of my hard drives on my other PC.

Probably another 500 CD-R's from exchanging burned copies with people on various music forums or from internet.

700 vinyl LP's, about 200 seven inch 45's, 600 cassettes, atleast seven to eight hundred CD's- maybe more.

Some are consumer goods, some are capital goods ( to help earn $ deejaying), some are both. everything from mozart to the bone thugs to spike jones.

Hah wow, I've only just started collecting last year and I've got about 30 so far (quality over quantity!). Perhaps the collecting time period should be listed also?

55 CDs and 5 cassette tapes. I actually didn't think I had so many as that, since I only bought my first CD about four years ago.

About six store-bought CD's and five burned CD's, none of which I currently listen to. If whatever is on the CD is not on my iPod, then I don't like the song.

Aproximately..
1200 cd’s
150 vinyls (though lots of these would just be 7”)
150 cassettes

Pretty much the only time I’ll ever download an album is if it’s super rare or out of print and costs an absolutely ridiculous amount to buy.
Music’s always been a big part of my life and since a good amount of the artists I listen to aren’t on big labels or anything I’ve always thought it’s important to show them support.
It's just not the same without actually having the album outlay/artwork in front of you either.
