Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy.
American Tabloid by James Ellroy.
The Most Beautiful Girl In Town And Other Stories by Charles Bukowski.
Cannery Row by John Steinbeck.

I'm sure there are others.

Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf although it’s really hard to pick just one novel by Virginia Woolf. I really love To the Lighthouse, The Waves, A Room of One's Own, and Orlando as well.
