This seems like the place (naive that may be) to talk about the Talking Heads and all issues relating to them. First subject : Favorite Talking Heads album and song.

Love (Building on Fire)
A Clean Break
Don't Worry about the Government
The Book I Read
The girls want to be with the girls

You can pretty much take any Talking Heads song and turn it up and down and find new things about it. Albums : More Songs about Buildings and Food because it has that great big jam feel that lasts for a half hour from the third song to Take Me to the River. I love the two disc The Name of this Band is because it's like the Talking Heads show that I'll never get to see.

Fav songs
Once in a Lifetime

And She Was
Stay Up Late
Life During Wartime
Wild Wild Life
Psycho Killer
Sugar on My Tongue

I used to like "Take Me to the River" but I've seen to many commercials with those damn singing bass fish that I hate the song now

Fav CD~ In Tongues

I can sound like the Talking Heads when I sing their songs :dj:

The Weird Al Yankovic song "Dog Eat Dog" is in the style of the Talking Heads  I WANT that job

album: more songs about building and food

i saw them on Saturday Night Live, & ran out & bought the album (i've only done this one other time--when Patti Smith was on).

still think it's their best. every song on it is great.

PS in the beginning David Byrne had a unique singing style which he seems to have dropped since. i'd almost call it "aspedelic"--!
