I told this girl I know I love her. I have also asked her to hang out with me at a local bar with a band coming up on day after Thanksgiving. I don't know if this was bad idea. Well I kinda hinted at it more so than asking her directly.

I like her alot. I don't know that she likes me at all. Our families have always been friends and I havn't seen her ever not smile at me really. I have never spoken much to her, but I have always wanted to. I figure worst case scenario I learn a little about life and eventually talk her into being my friend since our families are friends and all.

Stop hinting and actually ask her to the band :)

I think that's a pretty good way of looking at it...

Telling someone you love them is usually a fairly extreme move. As much as I admire such bold, daring moves and prefer such direct approaches, it is alas usually only a wise move if they love you back. So having dived in at the deep end, you've at least got a good platform to go all the way. Ask her directly about the band! If you can tell her you love her then you can probably ask her anything! Good luck, hope it goes well.

What if some girl you're not really attracted to and don't know well at all told you she loved you?

Wouldn't that strike you as a bit awkward and needy?

90% odds that you blew it. Don't be upset or think about it too much, though. You're going to fail many more times before you start to really adjust yourself to the environment and eventually you'll be so used to it that you're going to begin to completely blow off your failures, and honestly, that's going to start to develop some serious confidence and happiness with yourself.
