I like getting new stuff, but I hate taking out my wallet.

Tell your date/partner that you want to do free/cheaper things because your trying to save up your money for something

My ideal girlfriend would find a suitable date going dumpster diving in apartment complex dumpsters. You find so much awesome stuff there. I also hate paying for anything. I'll also probably be single for a long time.

Begin a new obsession with collecting money-off vouchers/coupons

However much I might dislike having to reach in my wallet, I do understand that if we never spend money then money is worthless.

I think it is better that I spend some money on the important things which me and my wife need.

There is no point is getting lots of money and then hording it.

There's lots of stuff that you and a date can do together that's free! I think the best time my boyfriend and I have together is when we're cuddling on the couch watching a show or reading.

Tell your date that you don't want to insult them by presuming that they can't earn their own money.

Based on where this is posted, I will assume it's about paying for your date always, I think both should be taking turns with paying. You pay when you go out and the next time you go out again with the same person, they pay.

I think that each person should pay for what they consume. I'm uncomfortable with the idea of one person paying for another's expenses when the person isn't their dependant.
I think that there's nothing wrong with treating someone to something once in a while, but it should be a reciprocal thing.

I'm somewhat incongruent on the issue, I hate paying for things and save on average about 60% of my disposable income, yet I'm currently drinking a $250 bottle of wine.
