Why does the world have to revolve around sex?!?

I have never and will never understand this. I've never even felt the urge to specifically go out in order to get laid. I can't understand why people do it. And what ticks me off the most, everyone wants to have sex, but always play stupid games instead of just doing it. I'm also unable to have sex with someone unless I'm emotionally interested, otherwise I get a feeling I'm using that person, that I'll make her miserable.

We have several biological drives.

To seek food/water
To seek shelter
To protect our own lives
To reproduce our species.

There's no way around it, we are genetically hard wired to want sex. We've gained a great bit of control over our sex drives, but they are hardwired in.

If all the people in the world did not have sex for about 30 years the population would steadily decline.Another solution although it may seem inhumane would be to poison the worlds water supply with a drug that make people sterile for 20 years.

Why would that be inhumane? That would be awesome actually.
