Yes. First and foremost, a major difference is honesty. NT's lie way more, she does not lie. Communication can become a lot clearer than with NT's because it's to the point, but can be muddled if one of you is employing sarcasm and the other isn't getting it, or vice versa. Special interests, while different are also a big point and if you two can hear eachother out on your interests and let the other go on their tangents, and they let you go on yours, that can be a very nice thing. Misunderstandings can occur and aspergers can worsen them so I'd say it's best to try to communicate as clearly and honestly as possible, I even find that being highly blunt is better than beating around the bush in my particular relationship. Also, we both kind of know what makes the other tick as far as our aspergers goes and can kind of avoid it, or calm the other down when they are in a bad mood. It's certainly different. The thing about NT's for me is they seem much more fleeting and only interested in having fun and cutting out, but she seems to be more in it because she enjoys my company and I enjoy her, there's definitely a comfort to it.
