I have a solid point of view. I have expressed it several times in various threads. I see nothing wrong with sex. That is not the same thing as having no moral convictions - I have very strong personal principles. One of them is not to pass judgement on others based on their lifestyle choices. I don't see why this has to be such a battle for you. You won't convert anyone to your viewpoint by belittling them or getting angry, so why bother? I'm done with this thread anyway - I've said my piece on the subject. The usual policy will apply to this thread however if this discussion is to continue, so please keep the squabble civilised without resorting to personal attacks folks.

Uh-oh - sounds like a religious argument was brewing over this? Morality "rules" re: sex are Judeo-Christian based, as are most morals - essentially, an attempt to control human beings via implied or overt threats of horrific consequences for non-compliance. Like duncvis, I too have morals and principles that I live by, but they have little to do with societal rules/morals/restrictions, as I couldn't care less about society or the individuals "running the show". They can all kiss my pale white arse!

What is more destructive to mankind? Casual sex, sex between people who barely know each other, unprotected sex, drunken party sex, the whole idea of it being reduced to simplicity.

OR...

LONG TERM, loving, trusting relationship based sex?

Which results in more social issues and deaths?

Add it up and then k¿ss my ¿ss....oh wait, that would be quite a deviant sexual act in it's own right woudn't it?

Are others' casual sex practices directly having a negative and destructive effect on *you*, personally?

Humanity in general, is it a crime to give a crap about life and people around me and their well-being? If it is, SUE me!

I think the real issue here isn't about a purported caring for humanity and its well-being, but more about your desire to impose your morals on others...

I don't much care what other people get up to, so long as they don't try and impose anything on me or anyone else.

If you're going around judging people for what's their own business and then talking about what you'll do to someone who hurts you again, you're not caring about anyone. You're being bitter and blaming everybody else because you're angry no one's connecting with you.

I also noticed that you alluded to religious/moral values. Can you tell me why being religious obligates you to run everyone else's life, huh? People make up their own mind on what's moral or not because, guess what? They can think for themselves. As for "sexual immorality" being a threat to our well-being, let me just list some things that are far worse than two concenting adults "gettin' it on"......

How about people waging war against each other because they think they have the "god-given" authority to do so?

or the thousands of children who are abused by their parents, then spend years in foster care being abused in the system that's supposed to protect them,

or that we have enough food for everyone on this planet yet there are people who still die from starvation,

or people who die in drive-by shootings just because they happen to be in the vicinity of the actual target,

or the millions of people who have no access to healthcare due to lack of medical insurance (especially in the U.S.).

I'm sorry you've been hurt so much by others as it really shows. But you know what? Having anger and bitterness ain't gonna draw anyone to you. People can also sense vibes or negative energy from others. Isn't it a small possibility that women avoid you because they're sensing your hostility? Sometimes when we have issues in or lives, instead of looking at everyone else around around us, maybe it's time to take a good look at ourselves, first, because just maybe there lies the key to solving the problem.

Do you realize that sexual deviance CREATES most of the criminals out there? It forms mistaken children that don't have 2 loving parents, and often not even one loving parent. The kids are raised as "baggage" that the parent or parents beleive they are "stuck with" and not as loved beings. When those kids grow up, they are often dangerous.

All because sex is no more important than a piece of candy to them.
Look at the big picture before you slam me. Like I said, if it's a crime to give a sh*t about other people then sue me.

Dunc, consider putting this into the "mature" section if not deleting it.

Don't get too worked up guys, I often get a thrill out of arguing with people. I'm not actually THAT mad and bitter and I don't expect you to be either. So fire away!

So I guess, since my mother was 16 years old when she had me, that makes me baggage that she's stuck with. And I guess the devil of fornication was passed down to me because apparently, I'm destined to be a criminal(I'm black so I guess it's a sure thing) and go around robbing banks, stealing cars and have a murder charge or two. Yeah, I guess to some dude in your high and mighty position, that's all us bastard kids can be.

Well, not only did this bastard kid not grow up and become some statistic, she graduated from high school then went of to university, putting herself through school, living on her own, working a part time job and working as a reporter for the campus paper. And that kid got her BA in Journalism as her family, "sexually devient" mother and father, and everyone else saw her walk across that stage. She now plans to be a freelance writer an artist, and part-time interior decorator.

So, sweetie, let me tell you something. When folks start shooting off at the mouth about "sexual deviance" and how my mother saw sex as a "piece of candy", I get really POed, not because of what they say about folks like me, but what they're implying about my mother and one thing I'm not going to tolerate is someone slandering my mother because when they generalize all unwed parents, they insult her hard work and care in raising me to be the person I am today.

So, in other words, when you're speaking of matters you've never experienced yourself and know about only through the lense of your fundie church and the media, just shut the hell up, please. Thank you.
