Of course. Online romance ends when real romance begins.

But even juggling two online romances, I can't help but feel that it would be wrong, even if neither of them was anything official. I believe that there's an emotional reality to online friendships, and even though much of it is imagined, both people involved still are emotionally affected by what is imaginary as much as what is real between them. So both people involved still feel that emotional reality.

I think that, like with any type of relationship, it depends on what "rules" you set for it. It's not cheating if you sleep with someone who's not your partner if you and your partner have agreed on an open relationship.

Play by what you and the " other," online or not, agree upon ahead of time. If you don't, that's cheating, seeing as cheating is, by definition, not playing by the rules.

This is all purely speculative, as I have never been in an online relationship.
